AJ Fisher is a former Broadway performer turned exercise scientist and founder of the HYPOXiX® Method, a research-driven system integrating breath science, functional strength, and simulated altitude training.
After performing at the highest level and training A-list celebrities and high-performing professionals, she transitioned her work toward optimizing cognition, body composition, and nervous system resilience through controlled breathing and altitude adaptation. She developed proprietary tools including the BANDSQUID™, the Ab-Ribbon™, and a progressive hypoxic breathing system that allows individuals to simulate the adaptive effects of altitude training from home while building elite-level core control.
Her work places particular emphasis on postpartum recovery, using precision breathing and strength protocols to restore the nervous system and rebuild deep core integrity safely and scientifically.
As an exercise scientist currently leading her third formal research study, AJ directs the HYPOXiX Institute — an in-person altitude performance facility focused on cognition and human performance — and its affiliated 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing research in breathwork and exercise while providing education to the New York City community.
